The W Family

I am a warm weather girl. I could easily live in the desert, where it never rains! What makes Fall and Winter manageable for me, is seeing “my” yearly families; the W family included! This family is so full of love and life. Mom’s smile has got to be the most infectious smile ever, and little Mr. C inherited it completely. I always have so much fun with these three. And don’t let their clothing fool you, they were sweating in the 20 degree plus sunshine, lol!

The F-B Family

I have been photographing this family for 5 years, it’s hard to believe! I am always so happy to see them each year for their family session. They took me to a hidden little gem of a spot, so amazing, I hope to get back there soon for another session!

Day 9: September

I can’t believe I am almost done this year. Only three more months to go!

September was a busy month for us. Preschool started up again for Everly; along with gymnastics, ballet, and swimming lessons. She is a very busy girl, but this is a good thing, because it helps to keep her energy in check! September also marked the beginning of Matthew staying with my sister for three mornings a week. It has been so amazing to have those three mornings to get extra work done, or even run errands (means more quality time with the kids in the long run!). He loves his Auntie Sam, and they have a ton of fun together. I love getting picture messages from my sister throughout the day.

Our house is a very loud place. Matty has spoken nearly 30 unique words; he uses 10-15 now on a daily basis. He is really repeating sounds, and copying hand gestures with those sounds which makes for some very cute moments. He continues to give as good as he gets when it comes to playroom brawls with his sister. They are about even now for injuries causing mild bodily harm and tears. Not too shabby Babeh; he had a lot of making up to do to even the scores, lol. I feel like a referee most days. So yeah, throw in my shouting as well. I need a whistle. And again, more noise. They are learning how to co-habitate, I have faith that one day they will be excellent friends. There are moments where they actually cuddle, and I think my heart is going to burst. To think we could have missed out on seeing this if Everly had remained an only child!

This day was a Tuesday. Gymnastics day! My child likes to jump, you’ll notice that. Matty is going to start gymnastics in January, I anticipate the same behaviour- man can that kid climb. We also hit our favourite park. We were blessed with an AMAZING September, and early October, so we got to go to the park a ton more. Actually, we made it to the park more in September than we did in June!

Okay, enough of my boring chatter… here are the pictures:)

Ballet and Tap

Last week, Everly had her first ever dance class. I think I was definitely more excited than she was, lol! Of course the occasion called for a mini session, and wouldn’t you know, there was a perfect field right in front of her dance studio (this field happens to be the lawn of where B and I had our wedding reception!).

Once she got into dance class, she wasn’t quite sure how she felt. She was shy, and very timid. When the parents were asked to leave the room, she opened up, and became the kid I know! We danced next to each other for a few exercises, and then she stayed with the group on her own. I am so proud of her; my little dancer.
